There is a lot you can do with egg roll wrappers. The great thing about them is you can stuff just about anything in them. I previously posted Mexican egg rolls which are delicious. What about something to curve that sweet tooth? Try stuffing them with some apple pie filling and cooking until slightly brown. While the are still hot, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. You can use any pie filling and quickly have a nice treat.
The other day, I wanted some sausage and gravy over biscuits for breakfast. Only I didn’t have sausage, but I did have some hamburger meat and decided to make my own sausage. So, don’t have a panic attack if you don’t have sausage because you can easily make your own. All you need is a few spices and presto you can turn hamburger into a great tasting sausage. You can also use this for other meats like ground turkey as well. Surprise your friends with this great sausage recipe. It is best to mix into your meat and chill for 2-4 hours. You can also grind the fennel seeds. Enjoy.
1 tsp. salt 4 tsp. paprika ½ tsp. fennel seeds 2/3 tsp. garlic powder ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes if you like it spicy. Tsp. black pepper. Want more of a kick, add some dry rubbed sage. Personally I am not a fan but many people like it. When everything but our pay continues to increase in cost we all need to look for ways to save money. By doing one simple thing, you could save up to $ 300 per year! How many of you out there buy those pre packaged spice or seasoning mixes such as Taco or stew seasoning. These little packs of spices cost anywhere from$1-$3 per pack. when you add that up over a years time. It is big bucks. It is so easy to make your own spice blends and they always seem to taste better. So, start making your own at a fraction of the costs. Trust me, you will be glad you did.
Good evening everyone; I want to apologize for not posting the past week but I have been very busy with my real job and just haven't had much time for my fun stuff. Today I wanted to make my wife another great meal so I went to my version of Chicken Cordon Blue. It's very simple to make and when you click on the link, I will show you just how easy it is. I used a fat free ham and provolone cheese. Sometimes, I use Swiss cheese and sometimes I use cream cheese. All three are good. This is a healthy and delicious meal so if you want chicken a little bit different, this only takes about an hour from start to finish. That's the entire meal, not just the chicken. Enjoy!
Please like my Page http://www.facebook.com/Dans.ktichen tweet @dlister2 When I was a kid, I use to run from squash as there was no way I wanted something that looked that nasty going into my mouth. Well, since that time, I have grown to love squash. I eat it pan seared in olive oil, fried, on the grill, casserole, and even stewed. That happened sort of by chance actually. I was coming off of a deployment one time right before I retired from the Navy and my wife was already moving back to Pensacola where were heading next so I stayed with one of my buddies and his wife. One day we were having dinner and my buddies wife had made squash casserole. I didn't want to hurt anyone's feeling so I had some. Then I had some more and some more. I loved it. So, I think it's all how its prepared. I hope you enjoy this casserole.
Please like my Page http://www.facebook.com/Dans.ktichen tweet @dlister2 Today I flew to Ohio and was looking for something from Ohio as a recipe when I found these Candy Buckeyes. My friend at work, Karen, brings these into work sometimes and they last about a millisecond. In my opinion, they top a peanut butter cup any day. This recipe was inspired by my friend Karen and the fact that I flew to Ohio in my flight simulator this afternoon. Now for all you buckeye fans, we really know who the best is, but I must give it to you, these buckeyes are the best. See how they are made at Thomas Candy Company. http://www.examiner.com/article/see-how-buckeye-candies-are-made-at-anthony-thomas-candy-co-columbus
I have also included a recipe you can make at home very easily. I hope you enjoy them! Please like my Page http://www.facebook.com/Dans.ktichen tweet @dlister2 Everyone; I am a flight simulator enthusiast who loves to fly to different places. This week I flew to Fargo North Dakota in my simulator and decided to look for a recipe that is local there. The recipe I am about to share was inspired by someone in Fargo, North Dakota. I think you will love it; especially once you see how easy it is to make. For me, this reminds me of a butterscotch Sunday with a little extra kick. I hope you enjoy this tasty treat. By the way, what is your favorite topping on ice cream?
Please like my Page http://www.facebook.com/Dans.ktichen tweet @dlister2 I love grouper and one of my favorite ways is to make blackened grouper. You don't have to be a chef to make this dish as it's pretty easy. I prefer to do mine on the grill, but the best way is to use a cast iron skillet. I hope you enjoy this. By the way, this goes great with a little bit of cheese grits and some coleslaw.
